William Johnson, M.D.

“Through the years, it has been fun to talk to patients, learn about their lives and follow up with their Stories when they return to the office each visit. I consider it a privilege to minister to my patients’ needs through my medical practice.”

Dr. Johnson attended The University of Alabama, then went to The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham where he was president of his graduating class. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. Following
residency training, Dr. Johnson practiced in Decatur, AL, before returning to Birmingham to join Dr. Foster in 1988.

Dr. Johnson is a member of the American College of OB/GYN and is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has a particular interest in menopause management, pelvic organ prolapse, and female urinary incontinence. He also serves as the Medical Director for two Birmingham area pro-life clinics.

Dr. Johnson is married and has four daughters and eleven grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, golf, gardening and travel.
