Dr. Poston was born at St. Vincent’s Hospital and raised here in Birmingham. She traveled to Greenville, South Carolina, for college where she attended Furman University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. After college, she returned to Birmingham and received her Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr. Poston completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. During residency, she developed a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and is credentialed in robotic surgery. She is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and a member of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist.

Dr. Poston met her husband, Tyler, in medical school. Together they have been blessed with two amazing daughters. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking.
