Making patients of every age feel comfortable with approaching their physician has always been a priority with Dr. John Woods. By blending a listening ear with a skillful hand, Dr. Woods gives patients the best medical care possible with understanding and compassion.
Dr. Woods is a native of Phenix City and a graduate of Auburn University. He received his Medical Degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where he held the Maiben Cammack Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Woods completed his residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where he was awarded top honors for surgical skills in gynecologic oncology.
In addition to practicing general obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Woods has extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinence and pelvic prolapse.
He is married to Nancy, who is a registered nurse. They have three children, Matt, Maggie and Carly.
