Dr. Jeffrey Gunnells brings specialized skills and a special calling to the practice of medicine.
A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Dr. Gunnells grew up in Alabama and received his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the University of South Alabama Medical Center.
The son of a Baptist minister, Dr. Gunnells sensed his calling while on medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic as a high school senior. That early commitment has taken him on frequent overseas trips to use his medical skills. An active deacon of Dawson Baptist, he and his wife, Melissa, serve by teaching newly married and engaged couples.
An avid outdoorsman, his free time is often spent with his two sons, Drew and Taylor, and wife at their farm in Marengo County.
