Dr. Ernest Moore shows dedication to his patients by listening to them and giving them all the time they need to communicate with him and access their individual needs. Along with being in private practice since 1972, Dr. Moore holds a variety of professional positions as well. He is active in the Jefferson County Medical Society, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama and the American Medical Association. He has served as Councilor for the Southern Medical Association representing the State of Alabama.
A native of Tallassee, Alabama, Dr. Moore studied pre-med at Vanderbilt University and completed Pharmacy School at Auburn University. He went on to receive his M.D. from the Medical College of Alabama and completed his residency at the University of Alabama School of Medicine. Dr Moore also served as a Major in the United States Air Force where he practiced obstetrics and gynecology at the USAF regional hospital at Maxwell Air Force Base.
Dr. Moore is married to his high-school sweetheart, Sue, and has two children, Steve and Susan. Steve is married to Vicki Shirley and they have one son, Stephen. Susan has one son,Will Tyndal and is married to Dr. Lee Hammontree who has three sons, John, Jim, and Mark.
