Originally from Jacksonville, Alabama, Dr. Alison Heaton graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she majored in Biology. She earned her Medical Degree from the University of South Alabama. Dr. Heaton completed her residency training at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Heaton strives to create an open dialogue with her patients to promote better understanding for each individual. She also tries to incorporate the beliefs of her Christian upbringing with the skills in her medical profession to treat the whole patient.
During her medical training, Dr. Heaton has developed a special interest in gynecological surgery. She is a member of the American Medical Society and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Heaton and her husband Jason enjoy traveling abroad and spending time with their daughter, Ava.
